Dog Recognising Signs Of Anxiety
A dog that's quiet and well-behaved must be fine, right? Not always.
MYTH: Anxious dogs are always destructive or barking.
FACT: Anxiety in dogs shows up in many ways—some dogs shut down completely. They might hide, refuse food, have accidents indoors, pace constantly, or lick their paws obsessively. Others show subtle signs like yawning excessively, avoiding eye contact, or trembling during storms.
The quietest dog in the room might be struggling the most. If you've noticed changes in your pup's behaviour—especially withdrawal, loss of appetite, or repetitive behaviours—it's worth a chat with your vet. Anxiety is treatable, and catching it early makes all the difference.
